Drive-thru Food Bank and a Food Pantry that will deliver!

Two South Bay churches, Saddleback Church South Bay and Nova Community Church, will host their next drive-thru food bank from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 11 at Nova Community Church, 4345 Emerald St., — No registration is needed for the monthly drive-through food bank — so food can immediately get into the hands of those who need it. Health Care

On Wednesday, Mayor Garcetti urged Los Angeles residents to wear face coverings when doing essential tasks in public

During her recent press conference, Dr. Barbara Ferrer, Director of Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, echoed this advice, to help in preventing transmission of the corona virus. They recommended that we should use homemade face coverings so that medical masks can be reserved for use by health care professionals. They also emphasized that we should not allow coverings to give a false sense of security, and should continue to maintain physical distance from others while wearing a face covering.

CDC Director Robert Redfield said that the agency is taking another look at the data around mask use by the general public.
